If your dog has learned to relax on a leash and is oriented towards you, he can often accompany you. Thus, the orientation on the leash also means a little bit of quality of life for you and your
dog and gives you more freedom.
An orientation on the leash, however, is not to equate with to bring a dog to heel, rather it is about the dog learns to orient itself to his human partner. This orientation is also an important basis for "freedom without a leash" or "binding recall".
In everyday life, however, the interests of the dog and owner go far: The owner wants to walk without too frequent interruptions, the dog, however, pulls on a leash, sniffs here and there, changing the direction in which he runs or wraps his holder with the leash.
The goal of the orientation on leash is the proximity of the dog to the dog owner, his distance to this is undesirable. The dog learns to reduce its needs (eg its need for running or its interest in the environment) to a certain extent - in favor of its orientation towards its human being.
You train your body language and learn how to use it in communication with your dog.
You learn how to guide your dog and he follows you.
Your dog learns that it is worthwhile for him to cooperate with you and to orient himself towards you.
Dogs from the age of about 6 months to the senior can participate in this course. Running bitches can only participate after agreement.
|group size||The course "leash training" is an intensive course, so the number of participants is limited to 4-5 human-dog teams. This guarantees that humans and dogs are individually trained and receive a professionally adapted training!|
